This is the earliest “job description” that I have ever found for a Seventh-day Adventist minister. The list dates to 1873. I thought I would share it here to see what some of my ministerial colleagues think. Keep in my that “S.B.” refers to “Systematic Benevolence” and was the precursor to the tithing system–the idea that pastors should be proactive about church finances.
